Tru Fire Release & Me
I have personally been using a Tru Fire Release for the past year. It is the first release I have ever bought and I don’t plan on ever getting a new one until this one breaks on me. It is one of the, if not THE cheapest release you can buy in terms of monetary value, but has proven to be a very dependable release. I have shot in many different weather conditions and temperatures and have never had a problem. The Tru Fire release is very quiet and is able to fit snugly on anyone’s wrist.
The fact that it will fit absolutely any person’s wrist is both a positive and negative thing about it. Obviously on the positive side, anyone can use it which makes the release very versatile as well as allows youngsters with very little wrists to still get a tight and snug fit. The con about this factor is that in order to accomplish the versatility, Tru fire has used Velcro straps.
If for some reason you need to adjust the tightness of the release mid hunt, you’ll be without a doubt giving away your position. The same holds true if you do not put your release on until you have entered the stand. Personally, I don’t find this to be an issue because I am always ready to take a shot from the very first step out to my stand. If you are on a tight budget yet want the benefits of a release, I highly recommend getting the Tru Fire Release Patriot model. If you are interested in purchasing this product and having it delivered right to your door, click on any of the pictures and you will be taken to Amazon.com which was the best price that I could find.
